At Teffie, we believe wellness isn’t a destination - it’s a practice. It’s the ritual of showing up for yourself, whether that’s through the food you choose to fuel your body or the way you move through the world.
That’s why our collaboration with Temple Noble Art feels so instinctive. Far from the grit of a traditional boxing gym, Temple has redefined the ring as a space of architectural beauty and mental refinement. It is the "Noble Art" in its purest Parisian form.
To celebrate our launch within their clubs, we sat down with founder Cyril Durand to discuss the philosophy of the fight and the art of the Parisian morning.
THE INTERVIEW: CYRIL DURAND
1. THE ORIGIN Hi Cyril. To start, please introduce yourself, the story behind Le Temple, and the core values the brand stands for.
Hi, I’m Cyril Durand, founder of Temple | Noble Art.
I started Temple a decade ago, out of a desire to bring a different energy to boxing in Paris – something both intense and refined. Temple | Noble Art is now the leading premium boxing club in Paris, with 5 locations in the heart of the city.
The idea was to create a space where discipline meets elegance, where every detail matters, from coaching to the atmosphere.
At Temple, we stand for technical mastery, respect, and a sense of community.
It’s about pushing your limits while enjoying the experience and doing it in style.

2. THE PHILOSOPHY Le Temple is famous for rebranding boxing as the ‘Noble Art’- focusing on elegance and technicality. How does this concept of ‘refined strength’ reflect the lifestyle of the modern Parisian?
When we say boxing is the “Noble Art,” we mean it’s about refined strength, precision, and focus. It’s not just hitting a bag; it’s a mental and physical practice. Temple sees boxing as a lifestyle – it impacts how you interact with others, how you take care of yourself, how you work, and how you live.
For the modern Parisian, this reflects a lifestyle of intention, balance, and elegance. You move through the city with energy, purpose, and control – and that’s exactly what we cultivate in the clubs.

3. THE RITUAL Teffie is obsessed with small, intentional habits. In an environment like Temple, what is the one ritual you see in your members that helps them transition from the chaos of the city to the focus of the ring?
One ritual I see consistently in our members is putting on their hand wraps. This is by far the most powerful ritual. For those familiar with it, it becomes almost meditative: a moment to leave everything outside the locker room behind, cut off from the chaos of the city, and prepare mentally for the space ahead. It’s simple, but it transforms the hour in the club into a clear, intentional space where they can fully engage with the practice.

4. THE MENTAL SHIFT You’ve seen members from all walks of professional life enter the club. What is the biggest mental transformation you observe once they incorporate a disciplined practice like boxing into their weekly routine?
The biggest mental transformation I see in our members is self-confidence.
Boxing is intense physically, but more importantly, it strengthens the mind: handling adversity, facing the challenge, thinking strategically.
Boxing makes you proud of yourself while keeping you humble.
By incorporating a disciplined practice like boxing into their weekly routine, members develop clarity, focus, and resilience. Stress melts away; they face work and life challenges with calm and determination.

5. THE PARISIAN MORNING For a Teffie reader visiting Paris, what does the ultimate ‘Temple Morning’ look like? Paint us a picture: the workout, the recovery, and your favourite spots.
The perfect Parisian morning begins with a boxing session at Temple | Palais Royal, our most historic club in the heart of the city. After class, I always unwind in the sauna to recover and reset.
From there, I take a leisurely stroll through the Jardin du Palais Royal, enjoying the calm and fresh air, before stopping at The Monocle Café to enjoy a coffee and explore their curated selection of books.
I often wander down Rue du Nil, discovering small gourmet shops, pausing at Plaq, my favorite chocolatier, or visiting the historic bakery Stohrer on Rue Montorgueil. But now, with our healthy Teffie offerings at the clubs, I no longer need to seek out bakeries!
